Dr. R. Michael Bare, Ph.D, is the Founder, President and presiding Bishop of Freedom Worship Center, Inc., New Hope Child Development Center, Inc., 7th City, Inc., and Freedom International Ministerial Fellowship. He was called to preach at the age of 15, but did not feel it was time to start his ministry. After graduating high school, he enrolled at Gaston College for one year in architectural and mechanical drafting. However, at that time realizing that his future was answering his call into the ministry, he dropped out of college and began to fast and pray for God’s direction for his life. For about seven years he worked along side with his father in the family business. After much prayer and study, at the age of 27, on the first Sunday of January, 1981, he stepped into his God-called ministry.

Dr. Bare has been married to Reba Bare since 1974. They have two sons, Jason and Phillip who are both ordained Bishops, and five grandchildren. Dr. Bare is also an accomplished musician, playing the trumpet, keyboard, and base guitar.

In his early ministry, Dr. Bare became an ordained minister in the Church of God. After his first year of evangelism, he was assigned to his first church. The church was small and at one time been disbanded for 15 years. He ministered there for 3 ½ years, and during that time he aquired new property and built a new church and purchased their first church parsonage. It was during this time that Dr. Bare realized he was gifted to troubleshoot churches with serious problems.

The need to further his education was a priority. He continued to study until he received a Ph.D. in Biblical Philosophy. Over the past 27 years He has ministered at nine churches and with God’s direction has achieved tremendous success in leading the different congregations through and out of their problems. Most of the churches doubled or tripled in attendance, churches were remodeled, and three new sanctuaries were built.

Through these years of ministry God began to give Dr. Bare a passionate heart to train men who are in the beginning of their ministry into the deeper things of God. He also has a passion to serve men in smaller struggling churches. Dr. Bare has a wealth of wisdom that came only through decades of experience. With his passion for churches that were struggling to grow, churches that needed additional teaching resources, Dr. Bare began to feel God was leading him to prepare to reach out to those often overlooked but very important pastors. Therefore, he began to help dozens of pastors in America traverse the many problems they were faced with to strengthen their ministries and stabilize their churches, with amazing results.

Dr. Bare also has a burden to help strengthen ministers in Africa. He co-founded Freedom International Ministerial Assocation (fimaonline.org) for the purpose of licensing and tutoring pastors to greater success and church growth. God has added His blessing to this ministry.

Dr. Bare is internationally recognized as an anointed communicator. He has ministered in Camp Meetings, and Revivals and conferences all over the United States and Africa. He has been greatly used in ministering through the Gifts of God’s Holy Spirit. His ministry has birthed many great healings, miracles, and even the dead have been raised to life through his anointing. Today, with his strong deliverance ministry, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, Dr. Bare is recognized as a true Prophet of God.
